About OECC
Towards a Sustainable Future for the World
Since our establishment in 1990, the Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan (OECC) has been a core organization in the field of overseas environmental development cooperation. Operating from a neutral standpoint between the public and private sectors, we act as a bridge between various stakeholders, including the Japanese Government, overseas local governments, international organizations, and private companies with expertise in environmental administration, management, and technology.
By leveraging the knowledge gained through environmental consulting, cooperation, and technical support grounded in local needs and market demands, OECC aims to address the environmental development challenges of the Global South. We offer comprehensive support that spans from policy and system planning through to project implementation in the field.
